A women-led collective based in Western North Carolina

Ancestral knowledge, women’s hands, and the communities they hold together.
Threads Weaving Dreams supports women in building livelihood, health, and care from the knowledge their mothers and grandmothers carried. Working in Western North Carolina, we resource women’s collectives as they turn traditional foodways, plant medicine, and the making traditions of their cultures into work that sustains them, their children, and the communities they are part of.
We are led by the women doing the work.
Threads Weaving Dreams is a women-led, intergenerational nonprofit collective based in Western North Carolina.

We support groups of women in building ventures, programs, and care networks rooted in the knowledge their own cultures carry.
We resource what women already know.
Groups of women build their own ventures, from breads to body care to craft.
We supply what is missing rather than deciding what they need.

We build the conditions the work depends on.
Childcare, transportation, and community care are not extras. They are what makes it possible for a woman to show up, stay, and build something that lasts.
Be Part of the Weave.
Every community holds people with gifts the world needs: artists, teachers, healers, makers, growers, elders, mothers, and daughters. Threads creates the relationships and shared structure that let those gifts become livelihood, learning, care, and culture.
Whether you want to learn, teach, support, or simply connect, there is a place for you here.
